For one month mid-June to mid-July of 2010, 500+ million diehard football/soccer fans will have their eyes fixed on one place: South Africa. The country will be hosting the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and many of us in the development world have been wondering how the event will be used to shed light on Africa’s opportunities and its challenges.

John Kim has put together very impressive coverage of corporate social responsibility as it relates to the big event on his blog: “The World Cup and CSR”. I’ve been reading through it the last couple days, and it’s a must-follow site for CSR enthusiasts.
